Last Flight of Captain Willem Heblij & Harry Robertus @ KLM

Captain Willem Heblij and Captain Harry Robertus made their last flight due to retirement at KLM.

A last flight heading for Capetown and back homebase Amsterdam.

On this flight Captain Willem got assisted by first officer Philip Arenda,captain Arthur Staalduinen ( operating as second officer) and Captain Harry Robertus (observer) as his ‘Wingmen’.

Harry Robertus’ wife and senior purser was leading the cabincrew.

KL597, callsign KLM105-Heavy, stand F4 and was planned for runway 18L.

Because of a slight delay they got recleared to RWY24.

And so I was in a hurry to reach the other runway to film their takeoff.

This flight got operated with a B777-300ER reg PHBVS.

Returnflight KL598, callsign KLM104-Heavy, got a nice approach and landing on same runway, RWY06.

Their last flight was operated with a B777-200 reg PHBQD.

After vacating the runway via Echo 4 taxying to final stand Echo 5.
