After an enormous career of about 39 years Captain Marc Brouwer made his last flight due to retirement at KLM. A retirementflight heading for Johannesburg and back homesbase Amsterdam Airport. On this flight Captain Marc got assisted by another captain Eric Palm (operating as second officer) as his ‘Wingman’, and first officer Milou Bruning as his ‘Wingwoman’. Captain Willem Heblij and Captain Harry Robertus made their last flight due to retirement at KLM. A last flight heading for Capetown and back homebase Amsterdam. On this flight Captain Willem got assisted by first officer Philip Arenda,captain Arthur Staalduinen ( operating as second officer) and Captain Harry Robertus (observer) as his ‘Wingmen’. Captain Toon Prins made his final flight due to retirement at KLM. With First Officer Dennis Roël and Second Officer Fabian Badloeas his ‘Wingmen’ heading for Curacao and back Amsterdam. Flight KL735, callsign KLM171, got a pushback on stand F5 and taxied out via taxiway Quebec for a RWY36L departure. Captain Robert made his last flight due to retirement at KLM. His ‘Wingmen’ were F/O Gert Jan Blaauwendraat and S/O Frank Coumans. Final destination on this retourflight was JNB – Johanneburg. Pilots call this a ‘Joburg’. Flight KL509 , AMS-JNB , stand Echo75 and RWY18L. This was a ‘Cargoflight’ and operated with a B777-200 reg PH-BQN.
