Last flight of Captain Cor Verweij @ KLM

Captain Cor Verweij made his last flight due to his retirement at KLM.  Ot the 7th of June he departed to YYZ- Toronto with Vojta Wagner as his ‘Wingman’. Flight KL691 , callsign KL31, starting the takeoffroll at holdingpoint Sierra6 on request.  Beautiful wingvortexes and cloudbusts during their climbout and caused by a low forecast. Backflight KL692 , callsign KL86, was at the 9th of June and they got an RWY06 arrival. Both flights got operated with a Boeing 787-10. 100 Years KLM flight & Last flight of Cpt B737 Rob Grotendorst

Captain Rob operated a very special flight. At first it was his retirementflight !!! At second it was 100 years ago KLM operated their very first flight. It was a flight to Londen Heathrow. And now it all came together at one flight ,  a ‘100 years retirementflight’ of Captain B737 Rob Grotendorst. Flight KL1007 , AMS-LHR,  with a RWY 24 departure. Captain Jan Bons made his last 747 flight and retirementflight together at one retourflight to Curacao. In view of the 90% decline in flights and anticipated future capacity, KLM previously decided in early March that it would phase out its remaining Boeing 747s in April 2020,instead of in the summer of 2021. Captain Henk van den Brink made his last 747 flight as retirementflight. With an enormous career as 747 pilot and Captain. Henk started as ‘Captain B747’ at July 1982 and made his last 747 flight after 37 years and 10 months. An amazing career and state of duty for KLM. Farewell KLM B747 @ PH-BFG // ‘City of Guayaquil’

The very last departure of the fullpax B747 with registration ‘PH-BFG’ as ‘City of Guayaquil’ She got delivered to KLM on April 1990. So after 29,7 years of duty she finally gets phased out. Yesterday,7th of December 2019, she departed for her last commercial flight to Toronto – YYZ. Pelle made his last flight as ‘First Officer’ due to heart-rhythm  problems. KLM offered a kind of special retirement flight as commercial pilot. From now on Pelle will be instructor on the flightsimulator.  Flight KL749 ,with Captain Ruud Jurgens,First Officer Martin Bredschneider and Second Officer//Instructor B777-B789 Vincent Aupers, heading to  Bogota-Cartagena in Colombia.  Operated with the B789 Dreamliners PH-BHL and PH-BHH. Senior Purser Barbara Toorop made her last flight due to retirement at KLM. Flight KL749 heading for Bogota-Cartagena and back to Amsterdam. Together with her daughter and son Tara and Bobby Hakvoort. Cockpitcrew captain Joep van de Langerijt,first officer Mark de Hoogh and second officer Floris Weijs. Captain ‘Jambo-Marc’ ,as called by his colleagues, made his retirementflight to Nairobi and back to Amsterdam. Captain Rien did have his retirementsflight at KLM. His final trip was to Capetown and back to Amsterdam. Together with FO Bas Seijffert and SO Michiel Breukelman .
