Friday 23rd of october Captain Eugene Mannot and FO Peter Westerneng operated their final 747 flight. Captain Mark van der Hum was also on board. Flight KL893 on stand Echo77 with a pushback by ATD Jan Arts and assisted by ATD ‘Bokito’ . Sunday the 25th of October they approached Schiphol for the very last time on a 747. A very special ‘747 ladies flight’to Shanghai. In order of our Dutch Government KLM was asked to fly to Shanghai for important medical cargo. Right now there is a special cargo bridge between Amsterdam and China. There are 5 weekly flights. AMS-ICN-PEK (2x) and AMS-ICN-PVG (3x) The first PVG-Shanghai flight was operated at 23rd of March.
