Last Flight of FO Brian O’Daly @ KLM

First Officer Brian O’Daly made his last flight due to retirement at KLM. On his last flight he got assisted by Captain Jos Jaspers and Second Officer Patrick van de Straat His final destination was JNB-Johannesburg and back Amsterdam. Unfortunately I was’nt able to film his departure last friday with flight KL591. This morning Brian got a runway 06 arrival and final stand Echo-18. Flight KL592 got operated with a B777-300ER reg PH-BVW, the newest Triple300 in our fleet. Brian got also joined by his wife Sabine den Hollander.(former 747 pilot)     Videostills……..

Last ‘Ladies Flight’ on 747 @ Shanghai

A very special ‘747 ladies flight’to Shanghai. In order of our Dutch Government KLM was asked to fly to Shanghai for important medical cargo. Right now there is a special cargo bridge between Amsterdam and China. There are 5 weekly flights. AMS-ICN-PEK  (2x) and AMS-ICN-PVG (3x) The first PVG-Shanghai flight was operated at 23rd of March. And it was a female crew operating KL895. Captain Sibbelien de Laere,First Officer’s Helen Hüpscher-Bakker and Sabine den Hollander,Second Officer Ilana Iskander. First Repatriationflight PBM // KL714 @ Cpt Eric Akker // FO Sabine den Hollander

Captain Eric Akker,First Officer Sabine den Hollander and crew where grounded at PBM for some days after a lockdown at Surinams airspace. Tuesday the 17th of March they did fly back to Amsterdam as the first repatriationflight from PBM to AMS. With a delay they arrived at 9.36am and came final for RWY18R. Captain Eric made his last 747 flight,although he expected to operate the 747 one more time.
