Last Flight of Captain Andy Zurhaar @ KLM

After a huge career of about 32 years Captain Andy Zurhaar made his retirementflight at KLM. Together with First Officer Onno Veltkamp as his ‘Wingman’ he departed for Johannesburg as final destination/retourflight. During 747 timeperiode it was called a ‘Joburgje’ when they did fly to JNB. Flight KL591,stand F7 , departed during heavy fog. When filming I only could hear them passing in takeoff and not see at all. After 18,5 years Captain Harold van den Pol got his last flight due to retirement at KLM. On his retirementflight to Johannesburg , a ‘Joburg’ , he got assisted by First Officer Michiel Schrier and Captain//Senior Instructor Marc Douglas as his ‘Wingmen’. Last Flight of FO Brian O’Daly @ KLM

First Officer Brian O’Daly made his last flight due to retirement at KLM. On his last flight he got assisted by Captain Jos Jaspers and Second Officer Patrick van de Straat His final destination was JNB-Johannesburg and back Amsterdam. Unfortunately I was’nt able to film his departure last friday with flight KL591. This morning Brian got a runway 06 arrival and final stand Echo-18. Flight KL592 got operated with a B777-300ER reg PH-BVW, the newest Triple300 in our fleet. Brian got also joined by his wife Sabine den Hollander.(former 747 pilot)     Videostills……..

After 37 years and 2 months Captain Desiree van Leeuwen made her last flight due to retirement at KLM. Final flight to Johannesburg and back Amsterdam, assisted by First Officers Evelien van Puijenbroek as ‘Wingwoman’ and Vincent Aupers as ‘Wingman’  Flight KL591, stand F3 with enginestart at the gate. Last flight of Captain Robert Adriaens @ KLM

Captain Robert made his last flight due to retirement at KLM. His ‘Wingmen’ were F/O Gert Jan Blaauwendraat and S/O Frank Coumans. Final destination on this retourflight was JNB – Johanneburg. Pilots call this a ‘Joburg’. Flight KL509 , AMS-JNB , stand Echo75 and RWY18L. This was a ‘Cargoflight’ and operated with a B777-200 reg PH-BQN. Final and backflight KL592 got a RWY18R arrival,operated with a B777-300ER reg PH-BVS. When entering the Dutch airspace the callsign of KL592 changed to ‘Robert-One’     Videostills……………..

Purser Carola Kant-Widdershoven made her final flight due to retirement at KLM. Together with her chosen crew, she went to Johannesburg. They call it a ‘Joburg’. This morning,the 11th of July 2018, her plane with flight KL592 landed around 10am at runway 06,the Kaagbaan.
