Captain Arthur Waller made his last flight due to retirement at KLM.  His last destination in career was St Maarten – SXM. Arthur got assisted by his ‘Wingmen’ First Officer Frank Zuidam and Second Officer Danny van Engeldorp Gastelaars. His final pushback at SPL operated by my colleague tugdriver Ron Pauw with an AM500 pushbacktruck. I was assisting as tugdriver in training. Both flights got operated with the A330-200 reg PH-AOC. First Officer Froukje Dinkla did have a wish………….operating another ‘Last 747 Flight’ with Toronto as final destination……………and that happened……… Thursday 26th of March she left for Toronto and came back with flight KL692 , callsign KL86, at 28th of March. Last ‘Ladies Flight’ on 747 @ Shanghai

A very special ‘747 ladies flight’to Shanghai. In order of our Dutch Government KLM was asked to fly to Shanghai for important medical cargo. Right now there is a special cargo bridge between Amsterdam and China. There are 5 weekly flights. AMS-ICN-PEK  (2x) and AMS-ICN-PVG (3x) The first PVG-Shanghai flight was operated at 23rd of March. Captain Vikash Badal made his last flight on the B747. A retourflight to CUR-Curacao KLM decided taking out of service all B747’s  due to the current circumstances caused by the coronadisaster. Because of the low forecast there was a nice setting for filming his last 747 departure on RWY 36L.
