Crosswind Landing & Last Flight on KLM B747 @ Cpt. Mike van Rossum

Captain Mike van Rossum suddenly had to make his 747 Farewell flight to MEX. In view of the 90% decline in flights and anticipated future capacity, KLM previously decided in early March that it would phase out its remaining Boeing 747s in April 2020, instead of in the summer of 2021. On Sunday he departed with flight KL685 and operated with the B747-Combi reg PH-BFS. On this flight Mike was  with his ‘Wingmen’ first officer Robert-Jan Bosch and second officer Tom Daamen. Last Flight on B747 – KL685//686 – MEX @ Captain Anthon van Dijk

Captain Anthon van Dijk made his last 747 flight to Mexico City,together with his ‘Wingman’ captain Arno Keijzer and second officer Mart Vermeij. In view of the 90% decline in flights and anticipated future capacity, KLM previously decided in early March that it would phase out its remaining Boeing 747s in April 2020, instead of in the summer of 2021. 18/3/2020 – KL602 – PH-BFV – RWY 18R Captain Jeff Robertson made his last 747 flight from LAX to AMS. Suddenly all 747’s should be taken out of service within a eyewink. Last Wingroll Salute & Xwind Landing on B747 @ Cpt Michel Vat

Captain Michel Vat suddenly got to make his last flight on his beloved B747 of KLM. Date tuesday 17th of March The airliner took decision to speed up with phasing out the 747’s at the end of March instead of May 2021. Captain Michel got assisted by his wingman First Officer Erik Vollinga and  Second Officer Nick Fremau.
