Crosswind Landing & Last Flight on KLM B747 @ Cpt. Mike van Rossum

Captain Mike van Rossum suddenly had to make his 747 Farewell flight to MEX. In view of the 90% decline in flights and anticipated future capacity, KLM previously decided in early March that it would phase out its remaining Boeing 747s in April 2020, instead of in the summer of 2021. On Sunday he departed with flight KL685 and operated with the B747-Combi reg PH-BFS. On this flight Mike was  with his ‘Wingmen’ first officer Robert-Jan Bosch and second officer Tom Daamen. Captain Anthon van Dijk made his last 747 flight to Mexico City,together with his ‘Wingman’ captain Arno Keijzer and second officer Mart Vermeij. First Officer Martin Sievers made his last flight on his beloved 747………….intially…………but after this flight he got invited for another and his final 747 flight with destination YYZ- Toronto. Captain Nico Koster a pilot who did fly the 747 for more than 30 years.  At the 17nd of March he made his last 747 flight to LAX-Los Angeles. FO B747 Rob Willekes made his last flight ,due to retirement at KLM. Together with Captain Otto van Bruggen he was heading for Hong Kong and back to Amsterdam. Last flight of Captain Frans Besteman @ KLM B747

Captain Frans Besteman made his very last flight due to retirement at KLM. His last flight was to JFK New York and back. Flight KL643 and KL644 got operated by the PH-BFV and PH-BFF.
