Captain Mike van Rossum suddenly had to make his 747 Farewell flight to MEX. In view of the 90% decline in flights and anticipated future capacity, KLM previously decided in early March that it would phase out its remaining Boeing 747s in April 2020, instead of in the summer of 2021. On Sunday he departed with flight KL685 and operated with the B747-Combi reg PH-BFS. On this flight Mike was  with his ‘Wingmen’ first officer Robert-Jan Bosch and second officer Tom Daamen. Captain Frans Besteman made his very last flight due to retirement at KLM. His last flight was to JFK New York and back. Flight KL643 and KL644 got operated by the PH-BFV and PH-BFF.
