18/3/2020 – KL602 – PH-BFV – RWY 18R Captain Jeff Robertson made his last 747 flight from LAX to AMS. Suddenly all 747’s should be taken out of service within a eyewink. End of March would be the date for the very last operational KLM 747 flight in history.  Captain Jeff on his way to homebase Amsterdam Airport with his ‘Wingwoman’ and First Officer Barber Haan and Second Officer Bas Jacobs. Senior Purser Roy van Weely made his last flight due to his retirement at KLM. Flight KL735 , callsign KL137-Heavy, operated with the B747 PH-BFN. Stand Echo24 with a superb runway 09 departure. Backflight KL736 ,operated with the B747 PH-BFH, with a smooth landing in the early morning on runway 18R. Both flights with captains Hans Hollink and Jeff Robertson, second officer Paul Reijnen on the flightdeck. Last Flight of Captain Gerard Bastiaanse @ KLM

Captain Gerard made his last flight at a Boeing 747 due to his retirement at KLM Gerard did have a career of the amazing period of 36 yrs of duty at KLM.
