Captain Paul Melkert made his last flight to Rio de Janeiro and back to Amsterdam. Due to his retirement at KLM. Together with First Officer Jeroen Becks ,his last movements got operated with the PH-BQP and PH-BQA. Last departure at Amsterdam at runway 24,Kaagbaan, with bad circumstances caused by rain. His last landing was a nice crosswind landing at runway 18R. While taxying to the gate he got spot at taxyway Victor by his son Cas Melkert. Waiting to capture his father after the very last landing Flight KL705-706 got operated by the B777-200’s PH-BQP and PH-BQA.
